APCO AND NENA CO-LOCATE FOR WINTER 2009 TRAINING EVENTS
The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) announced their plan to join their winter training events for 2009. APCO International's Sixth Annual Winter Summit and NENA's Technical Development Conference/Operations Development Conference (TDC/ODC) will be co-located in Orlando in February 2009.
The APCO International Winter Summit is the only executive-level event tailored to foster technical information sharing with others in the public safety communications field. APCO International's Sixth Annual Winter Summit is the one place to keep pace with the industry's explosive growth. Those who depend on technology to do their jobs will have ample opportunities at the Summit to exchange ideas and stay current on the latest developments. APCO International’s Sixth Annual Winter Summit will be held February 16-18, 2009.
The primary focus of NENAs 2009 TDC/ODC will be the delivery of emergency calls, future emergency communications services, and the continued movement toward Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1). The TDC/ODC is a working conference designed to accelerate multi-year efforts by NENA and its Next Generation Program Partners to clearly define our migration path, educate our 9-1-1 community, and lead the transition of our industry to NG9-1-1. The TDC/ODC will be held February 18-20, 2009.
Both events will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel at the entrance to Universal Orlando in Orlando, Fla. Continue to visit this site for developments on these events.
